Iran+100

‘Iran + 100’ asks what Iran might look like in the year 2053, a century after the coup that overthrew the democratically elected prime minister (Mossadegh), strengthened the Shah’s position and led, down the line, to the current authoritarian regime. In the light of past and present political struggles, human rights movements, women’s rights movements, and freedom of expression, will progress have been made and solutions found? Might things improve? Or will the future merely offer new technological and political strategies for maintaining the current status quo?
